ScreenProp is a professional tool designed for film and television production. The app enables production crew members to remotely control smartphone simulations on actors' devices for on-camera use. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your data when you use the ScreenProp mobile application.

2. Information We Collect
ScreenProp collects the following types of data to enable real-time synchronization between Production (crew) and Talent (actor) devices:
2.1 Session Data
- 6-digit PIN codes — Generated by Production devices to establish secure connections
- Session metadata — Creation timestamps, session duration, device presence indicators
- Purpose: Enable device pairing and real-time synchronization between Production and Talent devices
2.2 Message Simulation Data
- Text message content — User-entered messages for on-screen simulation
- Sender information — Contact names and phone numbers (user-defined)
- Message timestamps — Time information for realistic message display
- Purpose: Display realistic text message simulations during filming
2.3 Call Simulation Data
- Caller information — Caller names and phone numbers (user-entered)
- Call timestamps — Time and duration of simulated calls
- Purpose: Trigger realistic incoming call displays on-camera
2.4 Continuity Settings
- Status bar time — User-set time for on-screen display
- Battery percentage — User-set battery level (0-100%)
- Signal strength — User-set signal bars (0-4 bars)
- Lock screen settings — Unlock method preference (swipe, passcode, fingerprint)
- Purpose: Maintain visual consistency across multiple filming takes
2.5 Profile Pictures (Optional)
- Images from device photo library — User-selected contact profile pictures
- Purpose: Personalize contact appearances in message and call simulations
- Note: This is entirely optional. You can use the app without providing photos.
2.6 Message History Files
- XML files — Pre-written conversation scripts loaded from device storage
- Contact details — Names, phone numbers, and profile associations from XML files
- Purpose: Load complete conversation histories for complex filming scenes
3. How We Use Your Data
All data collected by ScreenProp is used exclusively for the following purposes:
3.1 App Functionality
- Real-time synchronization between Production and Talent devices
- Displaying realistic smartphone simulations during filming
- Maintaining continuity across multiple takes
- Loading and managing message histories
3.2 What We DO NOT Do With Your Data
- No analytics or tracking — We do not collect usage analytics
- No advertising — We do not use data for advertising purposes
- No third-party sharing — We do not share, sell, or rent your data to any third parties
- No cross-app tracking — We do not track your activity across other apps or websites
- No user profiling — We do not create user profiles or behavioral data
4. Data Storage and Security
4.1 Cloud Storage
- Service: Firebase Realtime Database (Google Cloud Platform)
- Location: Data is stored on Google's secure cloud servers
- Encryption: All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS protocols
- Access: Session data is only accessible to devices connected to the same session PIN
4.2 Local Storage
- Profile pictures — Stored locally on your device
- Message history XML files — Stored locally on your device
- You control: You can delete local files manually through your device's file manager
4.3 Session-Based Storage
- Sessions are temporary and designed for single filming use
- Each session is isolated and accessible only via the unique 6-digit PIN
- No cross-session data sharing occurs
5. Data Retention and Deletion
5.1 Automatic Cleanup
- Session data — Automatically deleted from Firebase when the session ends
- Idle sessions — Automatically cleaned up after inactivity (typically 24 hours)
- No long-term storage — We do not retain production data after sessions conclude
5.2 User-Controlled Deletion
- Ending a session — Disconnecting from a session deletes all associated cloud data
- Message history files — Can be manually deleted from device storage at any time
- Profile pictures — Can be removed through your device's photo library or file manager
- Uninstalling the app — Removes all locally stored app data
5.3 No User Accounts
- ScreenProp does not require user registration or accounts
- No email addresses, usernames, or passwords are collected
- No persistent user profiles are created
6. Data Sharing and Third Parties
6.1 Who We Share Data With
No one. ScreenProp does not share, sell, rent, or disclose your data to any third parties.
6.2 Firebase Realtime Database
- Service Provider: Google LLC (Firebase/Google Cloud Platform)
- Purpose: Provide real-time database infrastructure for device synchronization
- Data Processing: Firebase processes data solely to enable app functionality
6.3 No Advertising Networks
We do not integrate any advertising SDKs or tracking services.
6.4 Legal Requirements
We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or government regulation. To date, we have never received such a request.
7. Children's Privacy
ScreenProp is a professional production tool intended for use by adults in film and television production environments. The app is not designed for or directed at children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at apps@maykingindustries.com, and we will delete such information.
Age Restriction: Users must be 18 years or older to use ScreenProp.
8. Internet Connectivity Requirement
ScreenProp requires an active internet connection (WiFi or cellular data) to function:
- Production and Talent devices must both have internet access
- Firebase Realtime Database requires network connectivity for synchronization
- No offline mode — The app cannot function without internet
Network data usage is minimal and consists primarily of text-based message content and small configuration updates.
9. Permissions and Device Access
9.1 Required Permissions
- INTERNET — Required for Firebase synchronization
- ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — Check internet connectivity status
- VIBRATE — Provide haptic feedback during call simulations
- WAKE_LOCK — Prevent screen from dimming during filming takes
9.2 Optional Permissions
- READ_MEDIA_IMAGES / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE — Access photo library to select profile pictures. You can decline; default avatars will be used.
10. Your Privacy Rights
10.1 Data Access
- You can view all data in active sessions through the Production control panel
- Message history files on your device are accessible through your file manager
10.2 Data Deletion
- End any session to delete all associated cloud data
- Uninstall the app to remove all local data
- Manually delete message history XML files and profile pictures from device storage
10.3 Data Portability
- Message history files are stored as standard XML files on your device
- You can export, backup, or transfer these files freely
10.4 Opt-Out
- You can stop data collection at any time by disconnecting from sessions
- Uninstalling the app stops all data collection permanently
11. International Data Transfers
Firebase Realtime Database may store and process data on servers located in various countries, including outside your country of residence. By using ScreenProp, you consent to the transfer of your data to these locations.
Google Cloud Platform (Firebase) complies with applicable data protection laws and provides appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in app functionality, updates to legal requirements, or improvements to data protection practices.
Updated policies will be posted with a new "Last Updated" date. Material changes will be highlighted in app release notes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
13. Data Security Measures
13.1 Technical Safeguards
- Encryption in transit: All data transmitted via HTTPS/TLS
- Session isolation: Each session is protected by a unique PIN
- No public access: Session data is not publicly accessible
- Secure infrastructure: Hosted on Google Cloud Platform with enterprise-grade security
13.2 Limitations
While we implement reasonable security measures, no system is 100% secure. You acknowledge that data transmission over the internet carries inherent risks.

- Delete personal information (end session to delete cloud data)
- Opt-out of sale of personal information (we do NOT sell data)
